So, what causes dandruff?
Dandruff happens when the scalp becomes dry or greasy and starts creating white flakes of dead skin as a result. Modern lifestyle with pollution, stress and unhealthy food choices make dandruff almost unavoidable. As per Ayurveda, dandruff or darunak classified under Shudra Roga occurs due to the imbalance of the three doshas – Pitta, Kapha and Vata especially. This imbalance results in impurities, which further accumulates in the deep tissues of the scalp leading to itchy scalp and white flakes.
How to get rid of it?
